Why did you choose your career?

Why did i choose my career? Important and difficult question because it’s what i’ll be working for the rest of my life and what being very young determines your future.
When i was a child i remember that i received books as a gift, toy medical kits, magnifying glass because i liked to see ant walk among other things. That’s why i wanted to be a doctor, a veterinarian or a researcher.

In high school i’m very interested in science, biology and chemistry mainly, i remember that with my teacher we listened to scientific talks and made us do research projects, enjoyed it.
After the psu my options were biochemistry, medical technology and chemistry and pharmacy. Finally i decided on the last one because i’m interested his labord field.

Studying chemistry and pharmacy at the University of Chile has been a difficult process, a lot to study, and difficult subjects, but my motivation is to help people.
In the future I would like to work in laboratories, or in clinical pharmacy directly helping people.

My favourite book or film When i was a little girl my mom grounded me and forced me to read all the books "Papelucho" , now i am grateful because i enjoy to read. I remember that in school i don’t like the books that the teacher forced to read and looked for other books that i liked. From that moment i read short stories, romance novels, science fiction books and others but two years ago i met with my old teacher and she recommended me to read "El principito" .  She said me that the book it's not for children it' s for adults. Now it's my favourite book.  It is attractive to me because it is a short story but it leaves us a great teaching. I read " El principito" when i 'm sad, happy, worried, always is a good time to read it!. I recommend it because helps us understand that life is more easier than we think.

An expert in your field Is very difficult for me to choose just one expert but I feel special admiration for persons of science and more still for women working in science. Two o three years ago I saw "GENIUS: EINSTEIN" documentary about the life of Albert Einstein and I got a big surprise when I discovered that after all awesome discoveries SHE was, Mileva Maric the wife of Albert. Serbian mathematician, Mileva was born in 1875 in Titel, Serbia. She admitted to the  Federal Polytechnic Institute of Zurich to study physics. She was the first woman to graduate in physics from that institute. Mileva resigned herself to the role of wife and mother, leaving aside her professional career in favour of that of her husband. The most important work of she is the co-authorship of "Theory of the Relativity" with Albert Einstein although she was not recognized in any document.
